Grab the kids, grab the dogs, grab your best friend and cram everyone into the car for a road trip – it’s DC VegFest this Saturday! From 11 am-6 pm over 100 restaurants and vendors will be crammed into Yards Park celebrating yet another year of plant-based living in our nation’s capital.
There will be live music, cooking demos, a kid-friendly play zone, lounge areas for pups, plenty of food and craft beer, tons of veg-friendly vendors, nonprofits ranging from animal sanctuaries to hunger-relief groups and an impressive line-up of nationally renowned speakers.
Admission is free! Make sure to bring a healthy appetite since there will be all sorts of free samples from your favorite vegan-friendly food providers (e.g. Tofurky, So Declious, Nature’s Path etc) and over two dozen different food vendors- including Vegan Treats and Sticky Fingers (let’s be honest, that’s enough of a reason to go).
10,000+ are expected to attend, so, make sure to utilize public transportation or ridesharing. Parking will be at a premium.
VegFest is partnering with non-profit Nourish Now this year to host a vegan food drive at the event, so, make sure to bring along a couple cans of beans to donate.
